Quiet room with excellent blackout shutters and superb air conditioning. Location was a little way from the city centre (as we knew it would be) but in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood and with good bus services into the centre. Breakfasts were good (by Italian standards) and the waiting staff were very attentive.
The reception staff were very aloof - comfortable with Italian business men and women but less so with English tourists.
Very enjoyable stay, large quiet room and comfortable bed. All Staff welcoming and helpful at all times. Had a lovely lunch and dinner in restaurant. Breakfast was varied and good. Overall very good value for money. Though the hotel is out of the centre, the locals are friendly and area fine, you can get buses at the end of the road direct to Poetta beach, the centre and other areas of Cagliari, you can obtain tickets from the news stand or garage next door to the hotel.
Very friendly staff and amazing restaurant for dinner.
Far from town but very close to the bus stop which is a cheap and easy ride to town in a clean bus.
Alberto was a recepsionist!! The others were not that helpful and don't know a lot of languages. Even English often seemed hard.
It's a little far but there is a bus to the center every 5 minutes and it takes 5 minutes. In the center there is a direct bus to beach of Poetto. (10 minutes)
Everything is clean and neat and everything you expect in a hotel. If you're flying off the next day and you just want a comfortable place to sleep, then it's fine, as the hotel is very close to the airport. It's only 10 minutes cab from the city centre but around the hotel, there's not much to do. Roberto at the desk was very helpful, not so sure about the others.
I'm not sure how backwards with technology it is in Cagliari, but I definitely had faster internet at smaller towns on the island. Wifi connection was probably as slow as dial-up.
Nice interieur. good parking facilities.
Service is bad. Especially during breakfast. The breakfast itself is far from Itlian/international. Not fresh, a lot was gone and not updated. However the service here is far below the level you would expect. I cannot recommend this hotel for this price.
It was pretty quiet.
I paid 18 euros for a coca cola! (actually someone reported wrong what I used from mini-bar, maybe because I did not give a tip)
The room was comfortable and modern.
A request for a cot made during booking was ignored. The reception staff were generally unhelpful and disinterested.
Room too small ...and we had a suite!!!Our bedrest was on the elevator again in a suite Breakfast was poor even the coffee (suite and included in our deal. poor quality /price value Poor view from our room on old apartements. Noisy even a bomb exploded A very bad experience I would not recommeend this hotel.
I liked the availability and professionality of the staff, the excellent and reasonably priced restaurant. The room was beautiful, large and with plenty of furniture.
The internet was very slow.
Good location between the airport & city center, Easy parking.
I make two check-in in a week and both rooms number 120 and 218 no internet or very low that you cannot use it.
Once we found Hotel Sardegna (directions to the hotel are vague, the Hertz people misdirected us, even the Hotel Sardegna directional signs in the neighborhood didn't help much once we found the neighborhood, so we were frustrated as we approached), our hotel experience was pleasant, the staff very helpful (we were the American ladies who didn't know how to use the gas pump and enlisted the hotel staff to instruct us). Our room was comfortable, and the restaurant food surprisingly good for a small hotel off the beaten track. Breakfast buffet was quite extensive. Liked the modern design. For people looking for a modern boutique hotel, very clean, with good food and wonderful staff, Hotel Sardega is the ticket in Calgiari.
Hard to find. Hard to find. Once we got there, we enjoyed our stay and the very helpful staff.
Staff with good local knowledge, everyone speaks English, but try to say the basics in Italian as it seems to be appreciated. Clean hotel - comfy bed ( I travelled solo) nice moden feel.
I stayed in single room which had a shower that you had to squeeze past the oddly placed sliding doors. With a deep inhale of breath, I could get past, but if you have a fat arse, you will be in trouble. The toilet was placed so close to the wall that you had to angle yourself in for a number two. In doing so the whole toilet started to lean over as it was not fixed to the floor properly. Very scarey. Oh and the air con didn't work. Other than that, still a pretty ok hotel
Some of the staff were helpful, close to shops
some of the staff were not very friendly the internet did not stay on for any more than 5 mins which made it difficult for me to do my work.
The staff was nice (except for one grumpy receptionist). They could communicate in English.
This hotel is supposed to have four stars, however they don't even have a tea kettle in the room. The restaurant opens at 8:00 PM, when normally the doctors advise not to eat at all. The hotel is rather cumbersome to find.
